On 4th of September 2010 Tobias, Mathias, Sebastian (from Wolfsburg – TU Braunschweig), Beau (Omaha – UNO) and I made a trip to Kansas City. We left Omaha at 6am and arrived in Kansas at 9am. At the interstate there was not a lot of traffic and we had no troubles getting there. Kansas City has about 400,000 inhabitants and the curious thing is that Kansas City is in two states – Missouri and Kansas. In preparation to this trip we had an appointment and made a schedule of our points of interessts. We drove to “Oceans of fun” a huge water park and to the Harley Davidson production. After finishing these two attractions we drove to Kansas City where we had booked a hotel in downtown. In evening we ate an excellent steak and went to the “Power & Light” district. I was really impressed of all the lightend buildings. It is a very beautiful city with a small skyline. At night we went for a few beers to some clubs. Kansas City is famous for its huge variety of bars and music. In one bar it was possible to ride the bull, which Beau and I tried out. It was real fun and I think we cut a fine figure at the bull. The music – country music – is not our favourite, but we enjoyed our stay in Kansas City. On the next day we went to the outlet store, where I shopped too much at the Tommy Hilfiger store. On Sunday 5pm we arrived back in Omaha and we had an early night. It was an exhausting, but also a very fun trip.
PS: Thank’s Beau for driving.
